SHERIDAN GOES ON ‘HEALING RETREAT’ WITH HER FIANCÉ
After struggling to cope with her workload and cancelling her live tour last month, insiders tell Closer that Sheridan Smith is now putting all her energy into her relationship with fiancé Jamie Horn, to whom she got engaged last May after just three months.
Pals say Sheridan, 37, has booked a “healing retreat” for herself and Jamie, 28, so she can work on their romance as well as her well-documented battle with depression and anxiety, which was brought on by the loss of her dad Colin to cancer in 2016.
A source says, “It’s no secret that Sheridan has had a rocky love life, and she wants to make sure this one doesn’t end in heartbreak. She knows she has to face her demons and has found a therapy centre in Barbados that offers holistic treatments and meditation classes. She’s hoping it will bring positivity back into her life and is looking forward to quality time with Jamie.”
The actress – who is expected to return to the West End later this year – reportedly went on a “20-hour booze bender” with insurance broker Jamie last year, following a huge row. And pals say she’s hoping the trip will help strike the perfect balance between her home life and career.
Last week, Sheridan revealed she and Jamie were discussing starting a family, but pals say that’s on hold for now.
The source adds, “She’d love for them to get married next year, then readdress family plans. But, right now, it’s all about feeling as healthy as possible.”
