Billie: “I love babies – we’ll have one more!”

Before her big day, reality star Billie Faiers revealed all about her pre-wedding nerves and what’s next for her and husband Greg

- By Daisy Mclure

It had been five years in the making following her 2014 engagement – and last week Billie Faiers finally tied the knot with Greg Shepherd at an exotic Maldives resort.

But the celebration was quickly overshadowed by reports of trouble in paradise amid claims that the wedding party had caused “carnage”, upsetting other holidaymakers who made formal complaints about “drunken yobs” and “intimidating and raucous behaviour”.

FAMILY DRAMA

As Billie flew out to the five-star hotel with family and friends for her big day, there were reports that her stepdad, Dave Chatwood, was too drunk to board the plane, allegedly delaying the flight, with onlookers later claiming that “guests hurled abuse and stole wine off the air stewards’ trolley.”

There were even allegations that Greg had called another holidaymaker a “c**t” after they tried to take a picture of Billie at the resort.

And confiding to Closer ahead of the ceremony on the island of Kuramathi, Billie, 29, revealed she had expected some drama as it’s more difficult planning a wedding abroad.

BIG BASH

Speaking to Closer before her nuptials, the Mummy Diaries reality star – who’s mum to Nelly, four, and 22-month-old Arthur – told us, “It’s been a lot harder because we’re planning a whole week for our guests. We’re putting on events almost every day for everyone so it’s been a lot to organise.”

And while overseas weddings are often smaller, quieter affairs, Billie admitted that their guestlist was big, with 90 people joining them, including fellow TOWIE star Ferne Mccann.

She said, “We’ve got 90 people coming! We have

a contact on the island who is helping us with the planning, and they’ve told us the largest wedding they’ve ever had was 20 people. They’ve said to us, ‘You’re over capacity, no more guests!’”

One part of wedding planning that Billie – who stars on The Mummy Diaries with sister Sam Faiers, 28 – had enjoyed was dress shopping.

She added, “I went with my mum and Samantha and it’s such a nice thing to do all together. When I put my dress on, I knew it was The One. I got that feeling, and my mum also got really emotional about the same dress so it was like a sign.”

BROODY

And Billie added that, postwedding, the couple will be focusing on moving house as they prepare for baby number three.

She said, “I’ve loved our house, but we’ve outgrown it. It has been such a great home, but we need somewhere bigger.

“I’d like another baby at some point, too. Nothing will happen this year, but potentially next year. People will think I’m mad, because by then I’ll just have got the other two out of that toddler stage, but I just love babies. I can definitely see us having one more. It would be amazing.”

Meanwhile, insiders tell Closer that Billie was upset by the claims made about some of her guests.

DISASTERS

A source says, “She’s been planning this wedding for years and went to every effort to ensure everything would be perfect, but there were a few little disasters. A row erupted between a handful of the group and there were also some issues over some of Greg’s mates acting up.

“They spent a small fortune on the wedding and Billie was close to tears over some of the claims made about their behaviour.”

But the source adds that Billie, who shared a picture on Instagram of herself smiling as she frolicked in the sea with Greg after the ceremony, has been able to put it behind her.

The source adds, “She says it’s a shame that there have been some of these stories coming out painting the whole do as total chaos. The truth is she’s had an amazing time with her closest friends and family and they all agreed that the location was incredible. She’s not letting any of the negativity get to her, she’s too excited about what the future holds as a wife and a mum.”
