KEANU REVEALS THE NEW GIRLFRIEND WHO ‘SAVED HIM’ FROM HIS GRIEF

He’s notoriously private about his love life, following the tragic death of his former partner almost two decades ago, but last week Keanu Reeves went public with new flame Alexandra Grant at a red carpet event in LA.

It’s believed Keanu, 55, has been dating the 46-year-old artist since earlier this year, although they are said to have met in 2011 when they collaborated on his books, Ode To Happiness and Shadows. The pair put on a lovedup display at the event, holding hands and giggling together.

In the process, they unwittingly stoked controversy after he was hailed a “hero” for dating someone close to his own age (despite there still being a nine-year age gap!), bucking the Hollywood trend for actors dating much younger women. Pals of Keanu’s have reportedly credited Alexandra with helping “save him from a dark place” he was in before they crossed paths.

Keanu hasn’t openly dated anyone since the loss of his late girlfriend Jennifer Syme, who died aged just 28 in a car accident in 2001. Shortly before her death, Jennifer and Keanu had a baby daughter, Ava, who was stillborn. Speaking about his grief, Keanu has previously said, “People have a misconception that you can deal with it. They’re wrong. When the people you love are gone, you’re alone. I miss being a part of their lives and them being part of mine. I wonder what the present would be like if they were here – what we might have done together. I miss all the great things that will never be.”
