‘It’s nice to get a few hours a day just us two’

-

MY KIDS HAVE DECIDED

THAT 5:15AM IS A GREAT

TIME TO WAKE UP, so that’s often when

I get up, too. They play for a bit, then

I get them ready for school. I’ll have breakfast – porridge with Crunchy Nut flakes on top – before I do the school run.

I PUT ON MY GYM GEAR, so I have to go to the gym! If I don’t go in the morning, I won’t go at all, and I feel so much better when I do. I’ll then go home and get showered and dressed before going to London.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE DOING MY PODCAST, CALLED OPEN MIND. Every week we have a different celebrity guest on and I’ll chat to them about mental health. I get the train into East London and do research before the guest comes in. I always get nervous, even though the celebrities are so lovely! It’s a lot of fun, and I never seem to stick to my prepared questions anyway, as it’s just natural.

I’LL SOMETIMES MEET WAYNE IN LONDON AFTER. It’s so nice to get a few hours, just us two; we’ll go for food or wander around, then head home. Then it’s homework, bathtime and bedtime – often sprinkled with trying to stop them arguing and encouraging them to share! DINNER IS OFTEN A HOMEMADE FROZEN PIE from a local farm shop, with some veg – neither Wayne nor I are great cooks. We’ll then watch a bit of The Walking Dead on TV, before heading to bed around 10pm.
