Billie Faiers: “Hair, make-up and accessories make a massive difference”

The 29-year-old TV star and mum of two talks red-carpet dressing and fail-safe fashion tips…

- Billie faIERS:

I love getting dressed up for the red carpet… but it can be really stressful. I feel so lucky to get invited to such amazing events, but there’s always so much pressure to look perfect, and finding the right outfit can be really time-consuming. It’s all worth it in the end, though.

Social media is a great place for finding inspiration… I browse Instagram and Pinterest to see how celebrities such as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley ntington-Whiteley and Kim Kardashian are styling outfits, then I’ll search for similar pieces on the high street. I look back at some of my past outfits and think, ‘What the

hell?’ – but, at the time, things like bandage dresses and sky-high heels were on-trend. When TOWIE first aired [Billie starred in the show between 2010-2016], I had bleach-blonde hair extensions and patchy orange range skin, but I genuinely thought I looked amazing.

Dress for your shape is my fashion mantra… and sometimes I see a really nice outfit on someone and they look amazing but, when I try it on, it doesn’t do anything for my figure. It’s important to remember that not every trend works for everyone. I also think hair, make-up and accessories can make a massive difference to how an outfit looks. AA A simpleimple simple LBD can look incredible when teamed with a bouncy blow-dry and glitzy earrings.

I’m a high-street girl at heart... as you get so much for your money. Shops like

Zara, Topshop and George at ASDA are some of my faves. I like that you can trial different trend-led pieces without having to spend a lot. However, when it comes to accessories, I am a sucker for a designer bag; I love the idea of being able to pass them on to my daughter

Nelly (five) when she’s older.
