The secret to Kate’s glow? Low sugar – and lots of sex!

Dazzling on the red carpet, Kate Garraway, Denise Van Outen and Susannah Reid seem to have grown younger with the passing years. Here, we reveal how they did it...

With her sleek blonde bob, svelte figure and fresh-faced glow, Kate Garraway wowed viewers during her appearance at the National Television awards, with one fan taking to Twitter to praise her “Hollywood-worthy looks”, adding that she “blows most 20 year olds out of the water!”

The TV presenter, 52, who’s mum to Darcey, 13, and Billy, ten, with psychotherapist husband Derek, 52, first caused a stir during her stint on I’m A Celeb! late last year, where she showed off the impressive results of her lifestyle overhaul – even prompting 28-year-old fellow campmate and Rak-su singer Myles Stephenson to describe her as “really hot”.

COSMETIC SURGERY

And while it’s hard not to notice Kate’s slimmer frame – she lost 2st prior to her jungle appearance, dropping a further stone on I’m A Celeb! thanks to a gruelling diet of beans, rice and lean meat – it’s her youthful, fresh-faced looks that have caught everyone’s attention.

The Good Morning Britain host has previously admitted to toying with the idea of having a facelift, telling Closer, “I was a bit obsessed with looking into cosmetic surgery for a

while, but Derek thinks it’s lunacy.” Instead, she turned to non-surgical treatments to give her a lift. She added, “I tried a soft chemical peel and did a course of CACI facial toning treatments, which really worked. I’m going to fight the ageing process as hard as I can!”

SEXY CHALLENGE!

Kate’s other anti-ageing weapons include choosing foods high in “good fats”, which support the heart and boost her skin’s radiance.

“I stopped drinking caffeine and now I eat avocados obsessively,” she said. “Eating avocados and low-sugar foods help keep up my energy levels.”

On a typical day, she’ll have soup and seeded salad for lunch and a version of whatever her children eat later in the day, such as pasta, chicken and veg – while a combination of running and yoga helps maintain her trim size 8 figure.

Kate may also have her husband of 13 years to thank for giving her “that glow”. She admitted to participating in a challenge to have sex every day in the run-up to her 50th birthday, and confessed, “Sex is great. Extraordinary. And after doing this experiment, I highly recommend having more!”

And Kate has vowed to keep up her a healthy diet and exercise regime this year, telling Closer,

“I had been feeling guilty for a long time about wanting to get fit, simply because I wanted to look slimmer, whereas now I want to get stronger. The jungle has taught me that you can attack life more if you’re confident your body is able to deliver.”
