Babies, weddings and secret romances
Following a visit to a fertility clinic late last year, Vicky Pattison revealed she’d been told that if she wanted to be healthy enough to have a baby, she should cut down on alcohol.
The former Geordie Shore star, famed for her partying on the show, has since opened up about overhauling her diet and lifestyle, telling Closer she’s keen to have a family, and wants to give her body the best chance of conceiving naturally.
And when we caught up with Vicky at the National TV Awards last week, it was clear she was sticking to her resolution, going sober for the evening and even shunning the glitzy after-party in favour of an early night.
But despite fans speculating she may already be expecting after she was pictured coyly placing a hand on her stomach, Vicky insists she’s not planning on rushing things.
She says, “I want marriage, babies, the whole shebang! But I’m trying to be measured and mindful because Ercan is 26, and I was by no means ready for babies then. I am now I’m 32, so… I don’t want to rush his timeline. But we’re really happy – we’re living together and going on loads of holidays.”
The couple celebrated their first anniversary last month, with Vicky saying she’d had an “amazing year” with her boyfriend – who helped heal her heartbreak following her split with fiancé John Noble in late 2018 after he reportedly cheated on her as they planned their wedding. But the reality star reveals her past experience hasn’t put her off marriage – and she and Ercan have spoken about tying the knot.
“He is Turkish-Cypriot, so there will probably be 400 people from his side alone,” she says, before jokingly adding, “And with the weather here at the moment, I’m thinking we’ll go abroad for it!”
