TAMZIN CELEBRATES HER R AGE-GAP ROMANCE
She revealed her split from husband Tom Ellis had left her “brutally broken” – but Tamzin Outhwaite last week opened up about how she’s since found love and happiness again with toyboy Tom Child.
The East Enders actress, 49, has been dating Tom, 28, since 2018 – and revealed that she’s happier than ever with him, and that their age gap isn’t an issue.
She said, “He’s rather lovely. He really is… It does work.
It’s about energy and about connection, I think. It doesn’t matter how much you fight it – there’s 20 years between us.”
During the interview, Tamzin added she laughs off any comments about the age gap between her and her new man, saying, “I tell you what it is, when you get to this age, you stop caring what people think, and I think that’s a really important place to get to. Because now the only opinions that matter are my two girls, and if they adore him, which they do… that’s all I need.”
Tamzin started dating actor and personal trainer Tom after her split from Miranda star Tom, 42, who she married in 2005 and was with for nine years. The couple have daughters Florence, 13, and Marnie, eight, but split in 2014 – with Tom allegedly admitting to cheating on her with his Once Upon A Time co-star Emilie de Ravin, 38.
At the time, she said she would eventually have to talk to her daughters about the split, alluding that Tom had been unfaithful, saying, “I will tell them exactly what happened and it will come from me. He’s still their dad and they still have a relationship.”
While Tom went on to marry American screenwriter Meaghan Oppenheimer, 33, Tamzin met Tom Child in 2015, but only started to date him two years ago.
Tamzin regularly posts sweet comments about her new love on social media, saying last year that she was “the happiest [she’s] ever been” and posting one addressed to him, which read, “Thank you for making our little family more heavenly”.
