As Victoria and David Beckham look more loved up than ever, their son Brooklyn drops a bombshell that has left her feeling torn

They went “Instagram official” in January, after dating for just a few months. And now, Brooklyn Beckham and his American girlfriend, Nicola Peltz, seem ever more serious, with her calling him the “love of my life” in one of many gushing social media posts, while he posted one with, “I promise to always love you with all my heart”.
Actress Nicola, 25, the daughter of US billionaire Nelson Peltz, was pictured cosying up to Brooklyn at his lavish £100k 21st birthday bash last week. The event, held at the Beckhams’ £6m Cotswolds home, saw rapper Stormzy performing in front of A-list guests including Spice Girls Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton. Proving to be a big hit with the family, Nicola danced with Posh – aka Victoria Beckham – and her mum, Jackie Adams, and called the fashion designer “the queen” in an Instagram post. She was also pictured hugging Brooklyn’s little sister, Harper, eight. A few days later, Brooklyn whisked Nicola off on a luxury tropical holiday, posting pictures of her and writing, “I love you so much”.
And insiders tell Closer that, after reaching his milestone birthday, loved-up Brooklyn has told Victoria, 45, and David, 44, that he plans to marry Nicola and start a family.

The source says, “Brooklyn and Nicola are head over heels and very lovey dovey when they’re at home with Vic and David. Brooklyn wears his heart on his sleeve – he told his mum he’d love to ask Nicola to marry him. He’s still young and Vic often takes things with a pinch of salt, but it seemed he was being serious.
Vic really likes Nicola, but she was shocked and worries it’s a bit soon to be thinking of marriage, given they haven’t been dating for that long.”
Brooklyn split with ex Hana Cross in August last year after nine months together. He’s also dated the likes of Hollywood actress Chloë Grace Moretz, Playboy model Lexi Wood, and ‘Victoria Beckham-lookalike’ model Phoebe Torrance. He and Hana, 22, had an
often-fraught romance, with Brooklyn once pictured crying after an argument.
But he has reassured his parents – who married in 1999 when David was 24 and Posh was 25 – that he now feels he’s met The One and that this relationship will last. The source says, “The main thing with Nicola is she comes from a wealthy and close-knit family like his. They both want large families similar to the ones they’ve come from, and they share life values and goals. She dotes on Harper, and Brooklyn has always been great with his younger siblings, so it’s only natural both of them would want to start a family at some point in the future.
“David and Victoria were young when they had Brooklyn. As a result, they have such a strong bond, which he wants with his own kids. Brooklyn has always been a fantastic big brother to his siblings, and he wants a large family like the one he’s always had – which is why he doesn’t want to wait too long before having children.
“Brooklyn is a romantic at heart, and is much happier being in a relationship rather than partying or playing the field. With Nicola being a few years older, he feels he’s found someone he could have a great marriage with – just like his parents, whom he idolises.
SETTLING DOWN
“Vic feels torn about it because she wants him to enjoy some of the freedom that comes with being young. But at the same time, Nicola is the same age as she was when she got married and settled down. Although it’s still a way off, the idea of having grandchildren one day is also really exciting – family is everything to her and David.”
As they approach their 21-year anniversary, Victoria and David’s marriage has never seemed stronger. They were snapped laughing and smiling as they kissed and danced at Brooklyn’s birthday party, with her gushing in an Instagram tribute to David, “Dancing till 6am! I love you so much.”
In an interview on a US chat show recently, Vic said, “I’m lucky to have him as my soul mate.” Last summer, they put on a very amorous display, kissing on Elton John’s yacht during a family holiday in the south of France. She later said, “We’re very lucky to have found each other and lucky that we’re growing together.”
Their recent displays of affection are in stark contrast to former reports their marriage was in trouble. In 2018 – after looking awkward together at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle– David described marriage as “hard work”, while rumours of a split circulated on Twitter after he was absent from a Vogue photo shoot.
And although Brooklyn hopes to emulate his parents’ love story, Posh has warned him about the struggles and stresses of marriage and kids. The source adds, “Obviously, Vic would love for him to have a long and happy marriage, like her and David’s. She’s proud of the fact that they’ve shown their children how great family life is. But it hasn’t always been easy for them to have their marriage under the spotlight and, whether Brooklyn likes it or not, he is a celebrity. Ultimately, though, she wants him to follow his heart, and she’ll always support whatever decision he makes.”
