Cheryl turns to pals to help her find love

Cheryl has teamed up with her single friends to find her Mr Right – and possibly the father of her next child

She’s made no secret of the fact she’s open to finding love again, despite the heartache of two failed marriages and splitting with Liam Payne, the father of her two-year-old son Bear, in 2018.

Now, insiders say Cheryl is making her most active move yet to find a relationship. She’s reportedly joined forces with her single pals, including fellow ex Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts, to look for men and support each other through the ups and downs of dating.

CONFIDENCE

A source says, “The thought of dating again is a bit scary for Cheryl, as she’s been out of the game for a while. With her profile, she can’t just sign up to a dating app and meet people that way.

“She’s got a few single friends, including Nicola, and they’ve all teamed up to support each other and act as each other’s wing women. Knowing the girls are there has given Cheryl the courage and the confidence to get herself back out there, and at least open herself up to the possibility of meeting someone new.”

The twice-divorced star,

36, has endured her fair share of heartbreak over the years, including claims her first husband Ashley Cole, 39, had been unfaithful in 2010, as well as her second marriage to JeanBernard Fernandez-Versini, 39, coming to a bitter end in 2015.

DOUBLE DATES

Following her split from former One Direction star Liam, Cheryl insisted she wasn’t interested in finding another man, saying, “It’s the end” of romance for her, before adding, “I’ve got the man in my life now”, referring to her baby son.

But appearing to make a U-turn just months later, the star confessed, “I heard Sheridan Smith met her boyfriend on Tinder and I absolutely would be open to meeting someone new, someone not in the industry.” She later joked that she’d “100 per cent date a shelf-stacker from Sainsbury’s.”

The source says, “After giving it some thought, Cheryl agreed maybe it was time for her to test the waters and felt it would be good to do it with her mates. She loved one friend’s suggestion of vetting each other’s potential guys and even going on double dates together to make it more fun. They think if they dated as a group it would take the pressure off and just make it a fun evening.

“Cheryl would love to join a dating app. She enjoys looking at her friends’ apps, and has fun looking through all the different profiles, but she’s also aware of the problems that being in the spotlight could cause. She’s considering more secretive routes to dating, such as elite matchmakers, or somewhere where she’s able to have an anonymous profile.”

Cheryl has also been vocal about her desire to have a second child, hinting at the start of the year that she was considering using a sperm donor. She said, “If time was on my side and I was in my twenties, yeah, I would wait and consider more options, or wait for somebody I felt was right.”

The source says, “Cheryl’s not looking to jump into anything quickly and wants to take her time getting to know someone. She also insists her baby plans come first. Of course, she’d prefer to have another baby with someone she’s in love with, but she’s also not prepared to wait for too much longer until Mr Right comes along.”
