There was a time when Chloe Goodman wasn’t sure she’d be able to fulfil her dream of becoming a mum – but a year on and the model and reality y star is gearing up to welcome her first baby, due next month. Chloe, 26 – who has starred in Ex On The Beach and Celebrity Big Brother

– is expecting a girl with her footballer boyfriend of two years, Grant Hall.

But the star suffered “waves of anxiety” in the beginning of her pregnancy as a result of her past health complications. She tragically suffered a miscarriage aged 23 when she was dating her former partner, footballer Jordan Clarke, 28. She had half of her cervix removed at 25, which doctors told her could increase the chances of her miscarrying after a smear test uncovered she had grade three abnormal cells. She recently had cervical stitching to help strengthen the cervix and prolong her pregnancy.

To add to Chloe’s worries, last week the government advised pregnant women to avoid social contact as much as possible for up to 12 weeks. While there’s limited evidence linking coronavirus to pregnancy complications, they’re taking precautions as so little is known about the virus. Experts stressed not to panic, but Chloe asked fans on social media for reassurance, writing on her Instagram stories, “Don’t want my baby born into this nightmare, so stressful… I’m a very chilled person but I’m worried about having my cervical stitch out in three weeks and then giving birth with the coronavirus pandemic.” However, her followers were quick to reassure her, with the star thanking them for their messages of support.

And responding to reports she was ignoring protocol to self-isolate, Chloe said, “I’m not being ignorant and ignoring government advice… I do have to leave the house for my hospital appointments which are all to do with my pregnancy as I’m high risk… I am social distancing and I’m visiting my hospital appointments alone.”

ODD CRAVINGS

Speaking ahead of the government’s advice, Chloe reveals that, despite initial fears, she’s excited to become a mum and is feeling more relaxed in her third trimester. She tells us, “I can’t wait! I have cervical stitching in my womb now, which will keep the baby in, but I’ll need to have it removed before I go into labour. With everything in my life I’ve always just gone with the flow, so

I think that’s why I’m now feeling quite content and happy. We haven’t thought
