Last week marked Rebekah and

Jamie Vardy’s four-year wedding anniversary and, in a tribute to his wife, the Leicester City star told his 1.2m followers how she had made his life “a million times better”.

And friends tell Closer the tribute was extra-special for Rebekah, 37, as it made her feel secure after the feud with Coleen led to her being cruelly trolled and suffering severe anxiety attacks.

A source says, “Jamie’s gone above and beyond to make Rebekah feel loved. Even though they celebrated in lockdown – with a slap-up meal cooked by Jamie after a day in the sunshine with their kids – it meant so much to Rebekah to have her family together.”

Since Coleen’s claims, Jamie has resolutely defended his wife – who previously revealed she was sexually abused by “someone close to her” during her teen years, leading to a string of destructive relationships – even unfollowing his former England teammate Wayne on Instagram.

The source says, “Rebekah has been let down by men in the past. When she started dating Jamie, she knew the reputation footballers have as womanisers. But he’s different, and he’s made it clear how much he adores her. She keeps saying how lucky she is to have bagged a good one.”

Rebekah – who shares Sofia, six, Finlay, three, and fivemonth-old Olivia with Jamie, as well as having Megan, 15, and Taylor, nine, from previous relationships – recently said she was “living in a love bubble” and has posted snapshots of her life with Jamie in their mansion. The source adds, “After the storm of the last few months and with a new baby in their lives, family time with no distractions is what Rebekah needed. She’s reflected on her troubled past and says she pinches herself at how amazingly her life has turned out. Jamie has given her and their kids the stability she always wanted”.
