The likes of Amanda Holden, Shirley Ballas, Beverley Knight and Sir Lenny Henry share personal stories about their own experiences with the NHS in this one-off special, giving a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to the 1.5 million people we all owe our lives to. It’s being hosted by former doctor Adam Kay, whose recent book Dear NHS: 100 Stories To Say Thank You inspired the show. In Adam’s words, it will also provide a “harrowing demonstration of what closing hairdressers for three months does to the hair of celebrities”. Ho ho (but he does have a point...)
