‘I’m not hurting myself – or anyone else’
She rose to fame on Love Island in 2017, and throughout her time in the public eye, Olivia Attwood has defended her right to do precisely as she pleases when it comes to her looks. Prior to appearing on the show, Olivia, 29, had a boob job, as well as lip fillers. And in recent years, she’s switched up her breast implants, had more lip and nose fillers, undergone Botox and had her chin reshaped with jaw lipo and filler.
Shutting down her critics, the straighttalking star has previously said she’s fed-up with people “telling her she’s pretty enough without the surgery”.
And while Olivia insists she’d never want to openly encourage others to have cosmetic work, she feels it’s important to be honest and open about what she’s had done.
She tells Closer, “In terms of cosmetic stuff, I think it’s really important to be transparent. I had a botched boob job pre- Love Island, and I thought, ‘I need to tell people about that’. I like to be honest if I’ve had something done. I wasn’t born looking like this – there’s no point in lying, because that is more damaging. Some people tell me, ‘Stop talking about tweakments in your Instagram Stories, because you’re encouraging young girls to want cosmetic treatments’. But, for me, I feel that the Kardashian-style of behaviour, where they walk around with these faces and bodies like it’s just the way they are, is more damaging. Because no one looks like that – no one is born with lips and a butt like that. I know my followers respect my transparency and I think that’s a much healthier approach.”
She adds, “I’m not hurting anyone and I’m not hurting myself, so it’s not really up for discussion.” ● Olivia Meets Her Match starts 25 October at 10pm on ITVBe
