KIM AND KANYE’S NEW MARRIAGE CRISIS
They weathered divorce rumours earlier this year, and now Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s six-year marriage has been thrown into turmoil again after Kim’s ex-BFF, Larsa Pippen, claimed the rapper had “brainwashed” her former pal.
Larsa – whose friendship with Kim dates back almost 10 years – said, “[Kanye] has literally brainwashed the whole family into thinking... I don’t even know what. He talks so much about me being this and that... I just feel like Kanye was in a place where he really didn’t trust anyone with Kim.”
Kim, 40, and Larsa, 46, unfollowed each other in July. At the time, Kanye, 43, had tweeted “Larsa” with a thinking face emoji, without further explanation. And insiders say Kim is dismayed at Larsa’s new claims. A source says, “Kim’s mortified over Larsa’s comments. She feels betrayed, but she’s also panicked about the damage Larsa could do to her image, and worried she could spill more details about her marriage. It’s caused
some tension between her and Kanye, which is the last thing they needed.” Insiders say Kim’s inner circle are encouraging her to distance herself from her husband to save her reputation. And sources say this was played out when she quickly congratulated US President-elect Joe Biden in the wake of her husband’s own failed presidential campaign.
The source adds, “Kim publicly congratulated Biden, which was controversial as her husband ran for the White House. That was a conscious move to detach herself from Kanye’s views and remind fans she’s an independent person.”
