RED NOSE DAY IS A WHOLE LOT OF FUN, AND YOUR LAUGHTER REALLY DOES GO A LONG WAY TO HELP THOSE MOST IN NEED ACROSS THE GLOBE

-

Red Nose Day is back to put a smile on your face, and Comic Relief needs your help to turn lots of laughs into lasting change. No matter how small something may seem, like putting on a Red Nose, getting your family to dress up, putting a cheesy joke in your window, or donating while watching the TV – when you do it for Red Nose Day, you’re part of something much bigger. You’re working towards making the world a better place. When you donate to Comic Relief, you’re supporting vulnerable people and communities in the UK and around the world.

Comic Relief raises money to support those living incredibly tough lives. They fund hundreds of amazing organisations who are working on the ground to support the most vulnerable people and communities in society. This includes vulnerable children and young people, the homeless or those living in extreme poverty, women and families at risk of domestic abuse, and those struggling with existing or new mental health problems.

Since Comic Relief began, the charity has helped to support 105.6 million people across the UK and around the world – that’s 14.3 million people across the UK and 91.3 million people internationally. And since the last Red Nose Day in 2019, Comic Relief has also helped to support 19.1 million people across the UK and around the world from donations – over £11 million of which came from Sainsbury’s, who have been partnered with Comic Relief since 1999 and raised £130 million so far.

This money has been committed to organisations closest to the issues, including those supporting the elderly, women facing rising levels of domestic abuse and communities experiencing racial inequality who are disproportionately affected by coronavirus. Organisations supporting frontline workers also received funds.

Red Nose Day might seem like a whole lot of fun, but your laughter really does go a long way to help those most in need, and donations make a massive impact to the lives of people in the UK and worldwide. This year, let’s raise as much money as possible for Comic Relief.
