Is Jordan’s baby anguish the reason behind her cryptic pregnancy post?

After her estranged husband Kieran Hayler proudly announced he’s set to become a dad again last week, Jordan was accused of trying to steal his baby thunder by posting a photo suggesting she’s expecting her sixth child.
With her hand cradled across her tummy, the mum of five – real name Katie Price – tagged boyfriend of eight months Carl Woods in an Instagram snap and wrote, “Happy and healthy. It’s the best feeling ever, I thank Carl for being part of me.”
SUSPICIONS
The post racked up 140k likes and comments from fans and celebrities including Geordie Shore’s Chloe Ferry offering their congratulations. But a backlash soon followed as some followers suspected she was “faking” it.
One wrote, “I think this is fake, she is just bloated but wants everyone to think she is pregnant,” and another added, “Why do I feel like she’s only posting this because Kieran has just announced his girlfriend is pregnant?”
Just days earlier – and only hours before Kieran’s baby news – the former glamour model confirmed that, despite trying, she wasn’t pregnant. She said, “I’m not pregnant yet [but] I do want more babies. If I could, I’d definitely like another four kids. I might be able to, but my age isn’t helping. Realistically, I’m hoping to have another two.”
A source close to Jordan tells Closer that the star, 40, is highly unlikely to be pregnant, saying, “Katie has made no secret of the fact she is trying for another baby. Kieran’s news was a bombshell for her because he hadn’t given her the headsup about it. It seems like she is quite jealous and this was her way of deflecting attention.”
Kieran, 33 – the father of Katie’s two youngest children, Jett, seven, and Bunny, six, and to whom she is still legally married – revealed he is expecting his first child with his fiancée, Michelle Penticost, and posted a sweet image of the kids – which includes Michelle’s son Valentino, 10 – with a scan picture.
He also confirmed that he hadn’t told Jordan his news, but said Jett and Bunny are “so excited” for a new sibling.
The fitness trainer added,
“At the end of the day, [me and Katie] are living different lives. I think she is trying for a baby because I’ve seen pictures of her boyfriend with a pregnancy test [laughs]. I don’t know what’s going on in her life and she doesn’t know what’s going on in mine. All we need to speak about is the kids.”
The source adds, “Seeing images of Kieran and Michelle playing one big happy family is devastating for Katie because that is what she so desperately wants with Carl.
BITTERSWEET
“She can picture them cooing over a newborn, caught up in that new-baby bubble, and having Bunny and Jett get excited over it for the next few months – of course she is upset that Kieran and Michelle have got the one thing she wants.
“Katie has found her dream man in Carl and she truly believes that having a baby together will complete her happy ending.”
Despite recent reports that Jordan and Kieran are officially divorced after their five-year marriage ended in 2018, sources have confirmed to Closer that it is still yet to be finalised as their final stage – the decree absolute – hasn’t yet been granted.
And Kieran isn’t Jordan’s only ex who is having a baby. Her second husband, Alex Reid, 45, is set to become a dad again with his fiancée and partner of eight years, Nikki Minashe, following a seven-year IVF battle and a devastating miscarriage.
Meanwhile, Charles Drury, with whom she had a fling in 2019, is also going to be a dad as his girlfriend Lauren Goodger – who was Jordan’s bridesmaid at her wedding to Kieran in 2013 – is expecting.
And in what is no doubt a bittersweet situation for the couple, both Jordan and Carl’s sisters are currently pregnant, too. Carl’s sister Sasha, 32, has recently announced her baby news, while Jordan’s sister Sophie, 31, is due next month.
The source says, “Katie received a bit of a backlash for her post as fans were upset as they thought she was making light of pregnancy when so many
women struggle to conceive.
“But the truth is, Katie is hurting because literally everyone she knows is pregnant except her – their friends and family and now her exes are in the new-baby club! Seeing everyone else revelling in their good news got too much for her. She has spent all of lockdown trying for a baby and, in all honesty, it’s starting to worry to her.”
IVF ‘HELL’
Earlier this year, Jordan told her Instagram followers she was taking folic acid supplements to increase her chances of conceiving – further sparking rumours after Carl was snapped walking out of a pharmacy carrying a pregnancy test.
And talking to Closer weeks later, Carl, 31 confessed, “We’re not being careful, we’re just letting nature take its course and we’re having a lot of fun trying...”
The insider adds that Kieran’s news has also forced Katie to consider other options to conceive more children.
The source says, “Katie gets caught up in a love bubble and she can’t help but want to share that with the world. Sadly, she hasn’t been quite so lucky to fall pregnant yet, and is now saying she might look into other options, such as IVF.”
During her marriage to Alex, in 2010, Jordan had IVF after failing to fall pregnant after eight months of trying. The treatment failed, and she called it “hell”. She also visited an IVF clinic in 2019, when she was dating Kris Boyson. At the time, it was reported she was hoping she could get pregnant with twins.
The source adds, “Carl has reassured her it’s still early days and that having a baby together is about the next chapter in their love story – not rivalry between her and her exes.”
