ALISON LOVES HER SON BUT FEELS AN UNDERLYING SADNESS ABOUT NOT HAVING A PARTNER

As the bubbly host of This Morning on Fridays, she is always seen laughing, smiling and having fun, having entertained viewers for 17 years with her hilarious segments on the ITV show.

But insiders say that Alison Hammond has a secret void in her life and is desperate to add to her family.

Alison, 46, is already mum to her 16-year-old son Aidan with her ex husband, Manchester cab driver Noureddine Boufaied.

They sadly split when Aidan was young, but friends say she has always had her hopes set on a larger family and would love to welcome a baby into her life.

A source tells Closer, “Everything in Alison’s life is going great – she’s incredibly successful and loves her job and her son.

But she’s feeling an underlying sadness about not having a partner to share it all with.

“She’s a positive person, but deep down all she wants is to find romance.

“She’d also love more kids. She’s always imagined herself having a family set-up and she feels like having a partner now would make her feel complete.”

Last week, Alison told viewers she was looking out for a man after revealing she had signed a contract with a publishing house to write three books over the next three years. “All I need now is a husband”, she joked.

And she confessed in March that she’d consider adoption to expand her family, saying, “I’ve got so much more love to give

– I don’t think I’m done with one child, I’m just not.”

RELATIONSHIPS

The star – who found fame in Big Brother in 2002 – has always been open about her desire to find true love and signed up for E4’s Celebs Go Dating at the beginning of 2020.

On the show, she was paired with aspiring actor and audiovisual technician Ben

Kusi, and they began dating. However, the pair split after Ben said he wasn’t ready to commit to a “proper relationship”. Tearyeyed Alison told the camera, “I’ve just been pied. It’s difficult. It is what it is, isn’t it?”

After splitting with Aidan’s dad, Alison met single dad and security guard Jamie Savage online and they got engaged. But they split in 2017 and Alison confessed it was the “worst

news ever”, adding, “I don’t think I want anyone else now.”

Last year, she admitted, “Right now, being single is the worst, but dating in lockdown is not my thing.”

Alison has a host of male fans on Instagram who have described her as “gorgeous” and “beautiful”, but while friends want to set her up with someone, Alison is keen to let it happen organically.

MAN HUNT

The source says, “Friends are encouraging her – they’ve been trying to play matchmaker. They’ve encouraged her to sign up to dating websites and go on apps. On Instagram she’s not short of male attention so they think online would be a way of meeting someone.

“Alison’s open to that, but wants to meet someone naturally as she says that’s the best way to work out whether you have chemistry. Humour is a big thing for her, so she thinks in person is the best way to tell if there’s a spark.”
