5 MINUTES WITH...

Nicholas Ralph and Rachel Shenton, back on screen in the heartwarming drama which has proved a real hit with fans…

-

What’s going on with James and Helen? NICHOLAS: Three months have passed since they last saw each other and that’s really hard when it’s someone you have strong feelings for! Ultimately, James knows who he wants to be with. It’s a little bit awkward – but then Helen turns up out of the blue and they’re reconnecting with each other.

RACHEL: She’s been really resisting James – until the point where she can’t any more! In series two, Helen wants to have fun again.

Can we talk highlights? NICHOLAS: It was fantastic to see all the lambs on the hills while we were filming, and I worked with one tiny little guy who was about 48 hours old – it was beautiful.

RACHEL: We didn’t have nice weather, but we had lots of scenes where we were holding the lambs and they were just gorgeous, so that made up for it. We hear you have a new friend. NICHOLAS: The new dog – Scruff, played by Bobby – is a beautiful red spaniel. She’s such a gorgeous dog. I fell in love with her. Of course, Derek – who plays Tricky Woo – is always up there in my favourites too.

RACHEL: Bobby was nine months old when she joined, and super lively! I love all the animals, but she is definitely my favourite. What was it like to reunite with your castmates?

RACHEL: We hadn’t seen each other for such a long time! It took a second to acclimatise to being back at work – I don’t think I’d put jeans on for a year! But you get back into things really quickly.

NICHOLAS: After being isolated for months it took a second to get back into the swing of it, but it was so lovely to see everyone again.
