SUPPORTING THE MCS FROM HOME

I’m getting in touch as I have come up with a way of supporting the Marine Conservation Society at a time when wildlife charities are suffering. I’ve decided to make necklaces from sea glass and other pretty shells and pottery pieces that I came across while beach-combing, and sell them via Instagram – @apieceofthesea – with 100% of the profits going straight to the MCS via JustGiving. I’m using recycled material, biodegradable wrapping and upcycled necklace chains to keep it as eco-friendly as possible. Time spent by the sea is always well spent for me, and I know countless others, including your readers, are the same. I thought this project would not only put people who are isolating away from the coast in touch with it, but also lift people’s spirits (including my own!) by helping them to feel connected to the sea and that they’re supporting an extremely worthwhile cause.
