Use the best all-in-one photo-editing app

-

Of all the free photoediting apps we’ve tried, Google’s Snapseed (Android www.snipca.com/23635; IOS www.snipca.com/23636) is the easiest to use and offers the most features. Launch the app, tap Open and select a photo from your device. To edit a photo stored in Google Drive or Google Photos, tap the three lines at the top left, select the account you want, then tap to select the relevant photo.

Next, tap the pen icon at the bottom right. On the main editing screen, you’ll see a Tools section (see screenshot above) with 12 tiles – tap one to see more editing options. For example, tap ‘Tune image’, then tap the slider to see options to adjust the image’s brightness, contrast levels, saturation, highlights, and so on. Select the option you want, then swipe right or left across the image to increase or decrease the effect’s intensity. Tap the icon at the top right to compare your edits with the original version, then tap the tick icon to confirm your changes.

Swipe up from the main editing screen to see a Filters section with 13 effects. Some filters offer further subgroups of filters you can tap to select, while others let you swipe left or right to adjust intensity levels.

Tap Save at the top right when you’ve finished. You’ll now see options to share your edited photo using compatible apps, or to save a copy of the photo to your device.
