BT haggling: I got 50% off!

Following your article about BT price rises in Issue 495 (News, page 8), I decided to haggle with BT. I went via their online chat ( www.snipca.com/ 23736). It was a very long process, but after speaking to one adviser, then another, and following a lengthy wait to be transferred to their retention team, I eventually got a reduction on my broadband and calls. I now pay £14.25 a month instead of £31.70. You don’t need to be forceful, just gently persistent. Jen Petrie
