Waiting for broadband cost me £50

-

I have also been through what Darren Marter described in Letters, Issue 497 (‘Stuck in broadband limbo’). On October last year, I switched to Plusnet from BT because it was only £5 a month, much cheaper than £28 with BT. On the morning my switch was supposed to happen there was no sign of Wi-fi. I waited for a day before contacting customer support. I waited 15 minutes in a queue to hear an apology that they couldn’t do anything.

I subsequently waited three weeks to get my internet up and running, by which time I’d paid £50 worth of mobile data to EE and Vodafone to complete projects for work and school. When I eventually got online again, I was over the moon. You don’t know just how much you miss the internet until you lose it! Kelan O’kane
