Tax refund? No such luck!

I’ve long been aware of the scam emails supposedly from HMRC that try to bewitch you with tax refunds that don’t exist. Now it looks like the scammers are using text messages too. I recently received a text from ‘GOVUK’ that promised me a ‘P60 refund’ of over £900. All I had to do was click the ‘secure link below’ and I’d be quids in. I didn’t believe it for a second, of course – I know from personal experience it’s not that easy to get money from the Government!
