Make use of Word’s handy keyboard shortcuts
In Make Office Better, Issue 495, we told you that highlighting any text within Word, then pressing Shift+f3, changes the case of text (from upper to lower and vice versa). There are a few other useful keyboard shortcuts using a combination of the Shift and Function keys.
Whenever you close a long document
you’re working on, then reopen it, you need to scroll down to find the point you left off. A faster way to reach this point is to press Shift+f5 after re-opening your document.
Similarly, if you want to find a synonym for a particular word, highlight it, then press Shift+f7 to see alternative words in the right-hand pane (see screenshot above). When you’ve finished writing, pressing Shift+f12 saves your document.
