How do I restore the delete confirmation?

-

QI have adopted the Creators Update, but when I hit the Delete key to get rid of a file, Windows 10 no longer asks if that’s what I really want to do. Obviously, most of the time it is what I want to do, but I found that a useful safety net. I know that I can restore deleted files from the Recycle Bin but I’d like to restore the confirmation box. What caused it to disappear, and how do I make it reappear? Daniel Kirk

AWe don’t know what caused this but big Windows Updates always bring with them the odd bug or two, so we’d guess this is one such. Regardless, it’s an easy one to fix. First, on the Windows desktop, right-click the Recycle Bin icon. Now, tick the box labelled ‘Display delete confirmation dialogue’ then click OK (see screenshot).
