THREE WAYS TO IMPROVE STREAMING QUALITY
1 Move your router
TV streaming requires a lot of bandwidth, so if you’re connecting wirelessly, a strong signal is essential. If your video is stuttering move your router closer to your device.
2 Go wired
Many streaming devices (not phones and tablets) have a wired networking (Ethernet) socket. You can connect them to your router with a network cable.
3 Change your settings
Streaming apps usually let you adjust the default quality. Precise instructions vary, but on BBC iplayer, for example, play the content you want to watch, then click ‘Turn HD off’ (to the right of the episode synopsis) to go from high to standard definition.
