Receive reminders to correct your posture

CHROME EXTENSION

- Robert Branston Chris Reilly

I’ve been getting severe back pains of late. A friend of mine who had experienced something similar suggested it was probably caused by the long hours I spend in front of my PC while at work. He recommended a brilliant Chrome browser extension called Postureminder. It reminds me to correct my posture, and to get up and walk around at regular intervals.

Install the extension from www.snipca.com/24675. Now click the light blue Postureminder extension at the top right of Chrome. You’ll see options to set reminders to correct your posture and stretch your legs (see screenshot above right). By default, these are set to remind you every 15 and 60 minutes respectively, but you can change them. Click Update when you’ve finished. themes. I like to change my desktop themes regularly, and I recently came across a new way to create my very own.

First, save any images or photos you want to include in your theme to a folder on your desktop. Now, open Settings, click Personalisation, then Background on the left. Next, set the Background dropdown menu to Slideshow, then click the Browse button below ‘Choose albums for your slideshow’. Navigate to and select the folder containing your images and photos, then click ‘Choose this folder’.

Next, click Colours on the left and select a dominant colour for your theme. As mentioned in the Workshop, this colour will be used for your taskbar, Start menu and window title bars. Alternatively, tick ‘Automatically pick an accent colour from my background’ if you prefer. Finally, click the Themes tab on the left, click ‘Save theme’, then name it.
