Add user profiles to your PC

-

It’s a good idea to create separate user profiles for everyone who uses your PC regularly. Each person will then have their own login details, and exclusive access to their own desktop and folders.

To create a new profile, open Settings, click Accounts, then click ‘Family & other people’ on the left. You’ll now see options to add an account for a family member, a guest or a child (see screenshot above right).

Family members will need to log in using their own Microsoft account. Guests will see the option to log in using their email address or phone number. If you add a ‘Kids’ account’, you can manage their online activity by going to account.microsoft.com/family, logging in with your Microsoft account and selecting their account. Here, you’ll see options to set time limits on when they can use the PC, and restrict access to certain websites and games installed on your PC.
