Price: Basic Free, Premium $19.95 (£15.38) per year Roboform’s name might not make you think ‘password’, but this form-filler program does include a password manager. It failed at the first hurdle though, because the import tool couldn’t detect and import our passwords from Chrome (see screenshot above). We did eventually force our passwords in by importing them via a spreadsheet in CSV format. But you shouldn’t have to go to such lengths.

Once our passwords were imported, Roboform worked well. Like Lastpass and Dashlane, it has a Security Center tool that tells you how strong your passwords are and how often each is duplicated across your accounts. As with all the password managers bar Lastpass, you need to pay for the Premium option if you want to synchronise your passwords across all your phone and tablet.
