How do I turn two attachments into one?

-

Q

I am secretary of a club and I regularly send out a doublesided program. However, each side is set as a separate document, so I have to send out two attachments. How can I make the second side as a follow-on document on another page, so that I need to only send one attachment?

I do not have full Word — just Word Starter 2010. I currently save the documents as either Word 97-2003 or PDF. Neil Howells

We’re not entirely sure what the problem is here, other than that you perhaps don’t realise that Word (including Word Starter 2010) can handle multi-page documents? A second page will appear automatically when the first page is full, or you’ve hit Enter enough times. Alternatively, you can create an additional page at any time simply by pressing Control (Ctrl)+enter. Again, this goes for any version of Word – including the Starter edition.

What you put on that second page is up to you but it sounds like you’ve already got a template set up in a separate document, so just open that, press Ctrl+a to select everything followed by Ctrl+c to copy it to the Windows Clipboard. Now flip to the second page created in the first document and press Ctrl+v to paste. Now just save as normal, as a DOC/ DOCX file or PDF, and there’s your solitary attachment.
