Microsoft has released Dictate – a brilliant new Office add-in that lets you narrate text for emails (Outlook) and documents (Word) using your PC’S mic. The service uses speech-recognition technology to convert your words into text that you can edit. You can also tell

Dictate to insert punctuation marks and start a new line. When we tested it, Dictate’s word-to-text conversion was 90 per cent accurate so required a little editing – but was much quicker than typing from scratch. It also translates text into over 60 languages in real time.
