Back up images you receive via Whatsapp to Google Photos

I recently become a grandfather and my son keeps sending me photos of his newborn daughter via Whatsapp. I use Google Photos to automatically back up all the photos I take on my phone and wondered if there was a similar way to back up the photos I receive via Whatsapp. My son told me how.

Open the Google Photos app (Android www.snipca.com/25520; IOS www. snipca.com/25521) and tap the Albums tab at the bottom. Scroll right across the ‘Photos on device’ section until you see the Whatsapp Images tile. To automatically back up the photos you receive via Whatsapp to Google Photos, open this tile, then tap the ‘Back up & sync’ slider at the top. Going forward, all the photos you receive via Whatsapp will be saved to your Google Photos account.
