Observe global weather at a glance
From a young age, I was very interested in meteorology and loved tracking the weather in cities where my family and friends live. I recently came across a brilliant free website called www.meteoearth.com that lets you do this from any browser. You can zoom into a particular region on the globe using your mouse. Alternatively, type a city name at the top left, then select the correct autosuggest option. Use the slider at the bottom to see the weather forecast for the next 24 hours.
At the side, there are buttons to show/ hide the temperature, precipitation, cloud cover, wind, tropical storm and pressure (see screenshot below). The Tropical Storm button is interesting because it actually shows you the exact path of a storm/ hurricane – thankfully, there don’t seem to be any heading our way. I’ve compared these readings with other weather apps I use and found them to be quite accurate.
