Swap your keyboard’s @ and “keys

-

I recently bought a second-hand Windows 10 PC. It works fine, but I noticed the @ and “keys are the wrong way around on the keyboard. My son said the PC was purchased in the US, which explains why this is the case. Thankfully, there’s an easy way to press the @ key and type “and vice versa, even though your keyboard buttons indicate otherwise.

First, click the ENG button at the bottom right (near the time), then click ‘Language preferences’. In the window that opens, click ‘English (United Kingdom)’ in the Languages section, then click the ‘Set as default’ button. Next, click ‘English (United States)’, then click Remove (see screenshot). Now, click the ‘Additional date, time & regional settings’ link at the top right, click the ‘Change input methods’ link below Language, then select the ‘English (United Kingdom)’ keyboard. Restart your PC and the @ and “keys will now be swapped.
