While this is very useful, it also means that anyone who can see your phone’s lock screen can read your messages. There’s an easy way to hide these notifications or disable them entirely if you prefer.

To do this, open Settings, ‘Apps & Notifications/notifications’, tap Notifications, then tap ‘On the lock screen’. By default, it’s set to ‘Show all notification content’, but you can select ‘Hide sensitive notification content’ (this only displays which app has triggered the notification) or ‘Don’t show notifications at all’ (see screenshot above), which stops all notifications. the bottom. Command Prompt can seem intimidating whenever you type a command to find some information (such as ipconfig to find your IP address). The results can run to several lines and you may struggle to identify the data you’re looking for.

However, there’s a useful command that lists results that contain a specific word or set of letters. Think of it as listing all the sentences that contain a specific word within a Word document.

To demonstrate, we’ll first run the ‘ipconfig’ command. Open Command Prompt by pressing the Windows key, typing cmd, then pressing Enter. Now type ipconfig into the Command Prompt window and press Enter. You’ll see several lines of results.

We’ll now show you how to filter these results so you only see those lines containing ‘IP’. To do this, type ipconfig | find “IP” (see screenshot), then press Enter. You’ll now only see four results, including your IP address. You can use this method to find other search terms of your choice.
