CHROME BLOCKS ADD ONS OUTSIDE WEB STORE

-

Google is to block Chrome extensions (also called add-ons) being installed from outside the browser’s Web Store. This will prevent users from being tricked into adding “unwanted extensions” while browsing websites. Google said in its blog ( www.snipca. com/28126) that extensions added from Chrome’s Web Store are “significantly less likely to be uninstalled or cause user complaints”.
