Windows 10 is ‘Microsoft’s best ever operating system’

In response to Eric Cooper’s letter in Issue 529, where he compares Windows 10 to an “old coughing, spluttering motorbike”, I would like to share my experiences of the operating system.

I first upgraded without any problems on an HP Pavilion G6 laptop from Windows 8.1 when Windows 10 was launched. I have upgraded with every update since, both on the Pavilion laptop and lately an HP Elitebook. Every update has gone flawlessly. Windows never crashes. The dreaded Blue Screen of Death is now a thing of the past.

I look forward to every six-monthly update, secure in the knowledge that if things do go wrong, which in my opinion is unlikely, I have a full system image taken just before, ready to revert to the previous state. Maybe I am just lucky but to me Windows 10 is the best operating system Microsoft has ever produced.
