Fix washed-out colours when you connect your PC to your TV

- Ryan Maplin

Despite the many options that let you ‘stream’ content from your PC to your TV, I still prefer to connect my PC to my TV using a trusty HDMI cable when watching movies. However, when I did this on a new PC, I found the colours really washed out on my TV. A friend who works in IT told me that it’s got nothing to do with my TV or PC (thankfully!). In fact, it’s because of a default setting with my PC’S Intel graphics card, which can be easily rectified.

Right-click any blank area on your desktop, click Intel Graphic Settings, click Video, then click Color Enhancement on the left. On the right, select Use Application Default Settings under Standard Color Correction, then select Use Driver Settings, then Full Range under Input Range. Click Apply at the bottom right to confirm your changes, then Yes to confirm.
