Why has Windows Live Mail gone wonky?

QI know it’s against current advice but I still use Windows Live Mail (WLM) on my Windows 10 PC. However, since the April 2018 (1803) update the display has become corrupted, obscuring the Status Bar at the bottom of the screen, while other windows seem to be weirdly mirrored along the diagonal (see screenshot below left). AUnfortunately, there might not be a fix. Microsoft no longer supports WLM, so the company won’t be issuing any fixes – if indeed the April 2018 update is really to blame. We say that because we think this quirk could be down to your graphicscard drivers, which might need updating after 1803. We don’t know anything about your system, but the basic procedure can be initiated via Device Manager. First, press Windows key+r, then type devmgmt.msc into the Run box and press Enter. Click to expand the ‘Display adapters’ section, then rightclick your graphics card and choose ‘Update driver’ (see screenshot left). Now just follow the prompts.
