STOP SPAM FORGOOD!

Hhave you triedtid this thi ‘fake account’ trick?

-

One of the most effective ways to avoid spam emails from online services is to use a fake email address account when you sign up. Burner Emails is a new extension for Chrome and Firefox that quickly generates fake (or ‘burner’) email addresses whenever you need to sign up for a service. Any emails sent from the service will be sent to Burner, then forwarded to an email account you’ve created especially to receive spam.

STEP 1

To install the Burner Emails extension, open Chrome or Firefox, go to www.burnermail.io and click the orange ‘Add to Chrome/firefox’ button. If you use Chrome, click the blue ‘+Add To Chrome’ button at the top right, then click ‘Add extension’. If you use Firefox, click ‘+Add to Firefox’ 1 , Add 2 , then OK. You’ll see the Burner Emails icon 3 in your browser’s toolbar.

STEP 2

Before using the extension, you need to log into the service. All emails that go to your burner account are auto-forwarded to the email address you sign up with. So you should log into the service using an old email account that you no longer use, or create a new email account exclusively for these spam emails. Click the Burner Email toolbar icon 1 , log into the service 2 , tick the T&C box 3 , then click Get Started 4 .

STEP 3

From now on, whenever you click inside any Email address field, you’ll see the Burner Email icon 1 . Click it to generate a burner email address 2 . Alternatively, click the extension 3 to see a list of addresses you can use 4 , click one to copy it 5 , then paste it inside the Email field. Any emails you receive will go to the burner email account and be forwarded to the redundant email address you provided in Step 2. For more information go to https://burnermail.io/faq.
