NEW ‘SIMPLER’ RIBBON IN OFFICE 365

-

Microsoft is “simplifying” the ribbon in Word, Outlook, Excel, Onenote and Powerpoint as part of a major redesign of its Office 365 suite, which is the subscription version of the program (from £5.99 a month; £59.99 a year).

The ribbon is the set of tabs at the top of the window in Office programs containing commands you need to complete a task. You access these by clicking the tabs.

In its blog announcing the changes ( www.snipca. com/28238), Microsoft said the new ribbon will “help users focus on their work and collaborate naturally”.
