Where’s the Plusnet Mobile app?

-

Q

I just switched my Android phone to use a Plusnet SIM, as the firm was offering a really good deal on data and minutes. I’m happy with the service but I’m confused why I can’t seem to find the Plusnet Mobile app in the Google Play Store. I’ve searched for it, as advised by Plusnet’s website, but I just can’t find it. I need this to monitor my monthly usage, so what am I doing wrong? Melissa Carter

Nothing, but the Plusnet Mobile app doesn’t exist yet. Or rather, Plusnet is developing an app that it has distributed to a few testers, but it is not yet available to customers generally. However, as you found, the company published a support page ( www.snipca. com/28784, see screenshot right) specifically for this inaccessible app – creating both confusion and frustration.

If you visit that URL, the original page does still appear for a few seconds, then you’re redirected to a generic help page, so clearly Plusnet is aware of the annoyance it has caused some customers.

There’s no fix, as such, other than Plusnet pulling its finger out to actually release an app that seems to have been in development for a long time. Until that happens, you can just log into your account via the normal Plusnet website account page, at www.snipca.com/28785 (see screenshot left). If you visit it via your phone’s web browser you’ll see a mobile version of the website, which is a reasonable substitute for an app.
