The power of G.hn
Devolo’s latest generation of powerline adapters are based on the cutting-edge G.hn standard for home networks, which delivers data rates of over 2Gbps. They can handle line lengths up to 500 metres, easily converting any power socket into a high-speed internet access point. Once installed, they are the ultimate backbone for your home network, boosting its performance, range and stability. G.hn standard does mean that the devolo Magic series is not compatible with older Powerline adapters.
‘Fast Roaming’ Wi-fi
Equipped with top-level mesh-wifi, every Magic product has new and improved wireless functions. The ‘Fast Roaming’ tool ensures all your devices, including laptops, smartphones and tablets, are always connected to the strongest Wi-fi connection. This guarantees the best speed and strongest signal as you move from room to room.
Other essential tools include ‘Config Sync’, which transfers a router’s Wi-fi configuration data to every access point. Equally useful is ‘Airtime Fairness’, for prioritising the data requests of faster devices. This stops older devices, which may require more time for a download, from creating Wifi bottlenecks.
Easier to install
It has never been easier to install powerlines. Once you’ve plugged in the first adapter, it will automatically be paired with every other adapter you plug in within the next two minutes. You don’t need to press any other buttons.
Controlling the adapters is also easy using Devolo’s new ‘Home Network’ app. It has a simple interface and crystal-clear instructions, guiding you step by step through installation. New features coming to the app include guest Wi-fi, parental controls and a speed test. On desktop PCS you can also use the browser version, devolo Cockpit
