And while – as we’ve explained here – you can always take screenshots of maps, that’s a hassle if you need to create multiple screenshots to capture everything you want.

This excellent tool from Microsoft lets you stitch adjacent shots together into one image. First, take your screenshots (making sure each overlaps slightly), then load Composite Image Editor and click New Panorama From Images at the top. Select your screenshots, click Open, then click Next (top right) to see your images stitched together. Click Next again, then, in the Image section on the right, click ‘Export to disk’ to save the merged image as a JPEG.
