Create ‘Search Folders’ for frequent email searches

-

If you frequently search for the same term in Outlook, you should create a search folder to perform the task automatically. Click the Folder tab at the top and select New Search Folder (or press Ctrl+shift+p). Scroll down the box that appears and click ‘Create a custom Search Folder’. Now, under Customize Search Folder, click Choose and type a name for your search folder.

Next, click the Criteria button and choose what kind of emails you want the search to find. Options include words

( in our screenshot below) in the email, who they’re from , and who you sent them to . Click OK when finished. You’ll now find this folder under Search Folders in the left-hand pane of Outlook.

In our example, we want to divide the numbers in column A by 8 (shown in cell B1). We want the answer to be shown in column C, so we’ll type this formula in cell C1: =A1/$B$1 (see screenshot above). That gives us the answer 62.5 (500 divided by 8).

To apply the formula to the whole of column A, hover your mouse over the corner of cell C1 until it turns into the fill handle icon (a black plus sign). Drag this down the column and answers will appear in the appropriate cells.

First, to add numbers, click Insert at the top, then Slide Number in the Text section. Tick ‘Slide number’ in the box that appears, then click ‘Apply to all’. You’ll see your number appear at the bottom right of each slide.

Next, click View at the top, then Slide Master in the Master Views section. Now make sure that in the left-hand pane the top slide is highlighted in orange ( in our screenshot below), then look in the middle and you’ll see the current position of your page number indicated by a text box at the bottom right with ‹#› inside.

Highlight this symbol, then click Home at the top and choose a style for your number using Font and Paragraph options – we’ve chosen Bahnschrift Light in red, size 54 . You can also move the box to reposition the page number.

Now click the Slide Master tab at the top left, followed by Close Slide Master at the top right, and your new style will be applied across all your slides.
