DANCE ON A BEACH UNTIL SUNRISE
Soma Project
Set up in a coconut grove a few years ago by a DJ duo, Soma brings a little bit of the Ibiza beach club vibe to Goa’s Ashvem Beach – think chilling in private cabanas by day, full-on dancing on the sand into the small hours by night. Soma Sundays are the big event, attracting up-andcoming Euro DJs.
Who goes? Good-times arty, media, boho types; the odd model (Jade Jagger has a house in Goa). What to wear A boho maxi dress and some retro shades. And when it all gets too much… A beach yoga and meditation session at Anahata Retreat (£47 per night; Anahataretreat.com) will restore mind and soul. En-gb.facebook.com/ somaprojectgoa
Carpe Diem
This isn’t just a club, it’s a whole freaking party island smack bang in the middle of Croatia’s Hvar harbour. The full-moon parties are particularly legendary.
Who goes? Oh, you know, just Jay Z and Beyoncé. The usual.
What to wear: A neon bikini, denim cut-offs and your flip-flops.
And when it all gets too much…
Hop on a ferry to peaceful Vis, the next island along, where you can rent an apartment with sea views and a couple of mountain bikes for exploring the pine forests (£44 per night; airbnb.co.uk/ rooms/3588402?s). Carpe-diem-beachhvar.com
Tanjong Beach Club
By day a place to chill on Singapore’s Sentosa Island, by night a fabulous party spot – Sunday’s Smack My Beach Up night goes into the early hours. Despite the tropical castaway vibe, the club’s only a 15-minute drive from the city, so if you’re in Singapore for a flight stop-over you can spend it partying. Who goes? A mixed, fashionable crowd of clued-up locals and in-the-know jet-setters. What to wear: A playsuit and jazzy, statement earrings.
And when it all gets too much… Book a Heavenly Massage at the Heavenly Spa by Westin (£90, thewestinsingapore.com), which sits on top of a city skyscraper. You’ll leave ready to catch a flight (or party all over again). Tanjongbeachclub.com
