FESTIVAL PLAYTIME Crayon your face, look cool (honestly)

If you can’t experiment in a field with a warm cider in hand, when can you?

1 POWER FLOWERS

DIFFICULTY SCALE 2/3 One of the most-talkedabout creations from the catwalks – for good reason. Mistress of make-up Val Garland wanted models to look as if they’d “fallen into flowers on a woodland walk”. Massive kudos if you want to press flowers in advance, but we’re all about an easy life, so search ‘pressed flowers’ on Ebay and stick them on with Duo Striplash Adhesive. Garland suggests playing with positioning – around the temples and cheekbones works best, but cover your entire face if you like. Keep skin dewy and brush brows up with something like Barry M’s Take A Brow Shape & Define Brow Gel. Then get gallivanting.

2 CIRCLE(S) OF LIFE

DIFFICULTY SCALE 1/3 Experimental make-up genius Alex Box is behind these Polo mint-inspired circles. And they’re as easy as they look to recreate, even if you’re still hazy from the day before. Keep skin bare and curl lashes, then paint an eyeliner like NYX Glam Liner Aqua Luxe in Glam Platinum around a pen lid and use it to stamp on your skin – or if you’re feeling brave, do it freehand with a super-fine liner brush. Box followed the models’ natural face shapes, so placement varied slightly – there’s no pressure to look perfect. And if silver is too subtle, go neon. Because why the hell not?

3 SCRIBBLED OUT

DIFFICULTY SCALE 1.5/3 To say we’re obsessed with make-up artist Tom Pecheux’s “exotic, individual” look is an understatement. Like the other two looks, leave skin fresh, with foundation only used where needed and use powder lightly to set. Pecheux applied various shades of MAC Paint Sticks using a curved sculpting brush. Shape, colour and size was different on every model, but we like two bold swipes at the outer corner of the eye. If you fancy something more full-on, paint brows white, too. But there really aren’t any strict guidelines, so just unleash your inner child and get scribbling – we’re saying the bigger and brighter, the better.
