➤ WHAT IT MEANS Hailed as the new superfood (yes, another one), chaga mushrooms have been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries, and are said to contain betulin (FYI that’s different to cactus water’s betalains), which lowers cholesterol and balances blood sugar. The health set are putting the powder (available at Whole Foods) in reusable teabags and using it as a Tetley substitute.
