MY CULTURED LIFE

Paloma Faith shares the things that are keeping her entertained this month

-

Turns out Paloma Faith’s addicted to social media. Same

First thing you do when you wake up in the morning? Read comments on social media – the good and the bad – as well as emails.

The last film that made you cry? Everything makes me cry now that I’m a mother. But The Notebook is guaranteed.

What TV shows do you binge on? The Handmaid’s Tale. It was beyond amazing and inspired the first two videos for my new album.

What’s on your workout playlist? I work with a trainer so I don’t always listen to music when I’m exercising, but whenever I do, it has to be Chic. It’s very motivating.

What books are on your bedside table? So many. I’ve nearly finished The Glass Castle

by Jeannette Walls, and I’m trying to read all of Jeanette Winterson’s books.

Last thing you bought? I’m preparing to move house so I’ve been buying lots of furniture, including a striped chest of drawers from Vinterior.

Go-to takeaway dish? I love food from Afghanistan. I get kabuli palaw and slow-cooked lamb. My favourite restaurant is Ariana 2 in Kilburn [London].

Last podcast you listened to? Jessie Ware’s Table Manners. She gets guests round for dinner with her mum who is, apparently, a very good cook.

Favourite emoji? The clown face.

Current wallpaper on your phone? A picture of me, my baby and my boyfriend.

Last person you followed on Instagram? The designer Robert Wun. I wore his brand to an event, so I tagged and then followed him.

When were you last starstruck? Nobody has ever heard of the people I get starstruck by.

Paloma’s new album, The Architect, is out now. She tours the UK from 2nd March
